Why I'm Writing This Blog

It's finally time for me to publish my writings on Black America on my own platform.

Why?

Because I don't mind the hate mail I get when I express my views. Because Bill Cosby is not the only Black American with some sense. Because we are living in a generation of Obamanation. Because Connecting Black fell off and you need somewhere to go to hear the truth. Because my blogging brothers and sisters can't continue to hold the torch by themselves. Because I care about my people too much to say nothing and do nothing.

Because I want to be part of the solution.

The black culture is at its downfall......BAD. Im an Obama supporter and I do believe that he WILL make a change for our culture and for the world, for the better. It seems like everything is hurting the black community today. It hurts my heart to know that our people are struggling to find a dime to get something to eat or to feed their children. We still killing each other as if we are in competition or jealous of the next person....but why when we are all on the same level of living....especially for the urban lower/middle class. I pray eveyday that things will get better for the better and that we wont have to struggle no moreNot only are we struggling in the areas of money, but the fact that kids/teens are feeling that its more important to hustle than to pick up a book. It their words,"You can't eat like that." Its sad that they have the mentality as such but schools are even closing down or cutting the number of students they accept. Sad. There should not be a reason or even an option as why a child is NOT in school getting the education our ancestors got beat and torchered to get, the education that can enhance their minds and their lives. We need a change and we need one bad. We need to come together and make the change, not work against each other or give up on the hope of things possibly getting better. It also sad that young black beautiful women feel the need to do whatever it takes to get a dollar......it seems as though that the one thing that matters to most. Making yourself out to be a hoe for a dollar or just to fit in is absolutely unacceptable. We as BLACK WOMEN are sooo much more intellegent and stronger than that.
We need to listen and see the cries of the youth....even though they may not be physically crying.....they are crying on the inside. We got to come together and make this drastic change for the love and the well being our people, of our communities.

Thanks for chiming in, Eye.

Although we may not agree on every issue, we at least agree that the problems are real, dire, and need immediate attention.

Hashing out the solutions to the problems is what this blog is about. What will work and what won't? What has been working and what has not?

And what do we do?

Those are the questions...

I NEVER REALLY UNDERSTOOD THE POINT OF BLOGGING BUT I GUESS ITS NOT SO BAD. ITS A UNIQUE WAY OF EXPRESSING YOURSLEF AND VIEWS ON CERTAIN SUBJECTS AND GETTING THE CHANCE TO SEE HOW OTHERS FEEL AS WELL.ITS PRETTY NEAT I'LL SAY...
BLACK AMERICA IS A GREAT TOPIC BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED. ALTHOUGH SOME MAY AGREE AND MANY WILL DISAGREE ITS A GREAT WAY OF HAVIN AN OPEN MIND AND BEING OPEN TO OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINIONS. YOU HAVE SOME GOOD TOPICS AND ITS GOING TO BE REAL INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT OTHERS THINK .
